FINALLY, MRI news

Mom got the MRI results today. We are a bit unsure of what to make of them, though. The doctor says that the tumor has shrunk since May, but is unchanged since July. Obviously, any news that the tumor has shrunk is excellent. We are thrilled with that. The doctor went on to say, however, that the disease would continue to progress and that her physical symptoms will continue to progress also, and that it will be up to her to decide when her quality of life is not good enough to want to continue pursuing treatment.

Mom is completely wiped out today. It is nice to have the results, but she is really tired of the ups and downs of this. Physically, she is getting weaker and weaker. Her difficulty with walking is increasing and it is hard for all of us to see how the disease is affecting her. However, she continues to really enjoy spending time with family and friends and is still the feisty woman that we all know.

We look forward to her brother, Bob, and his wife, Lynne, visiting this weekend and if all goes as planned, we will enjoy going to the temple together on Saturday. She will have her third chemo treatment next Tuesday, also.

Hi there, Gail!

I cheer your good news of the shrinking of your tumor.

I'm reading of how weaker you've become, but lady....think about how hard and bravely you're fighting this battle of cancer. Please seek the energy you've lost in the loving support of your family.

You are truly an inspiration!!!!

Love,
Marianne
